What is the purpose of the Adopt-A-Teacher Program? *To raise the level of involvement of local businesses, organizations, and community members in the classroom. *Opportunity to relate to our students in a manner that explains the "why" they need to learn certain things and "how" those skills will be utilized. *Provide an environment of creative learning where all students can be engaged. *Erase some of the financial burden of teachers. *Help students understand and become more knowledgeable about our community and our workforce. Benefits for the participating businesses, organizations, and individual community members:
*Knowing that your contribution will help enrich the growth of our students
*Self-gratification from knowing that your involvement does make a difference in the classroom experience
*Obtain recognition through: ~Classroom newsletters sent home to parents and on teacher’s website
~Acknowledgement in News Splash, the SES Marquee, and on the SES website
~Highlighted at PTA meetings and recognized in the media
Who Can Adopt a teacher?
*Businesses, Organizations, and Individual Community Members *How much time or financial contribution do I need to commit?
~This program is completely flexible! On your registration form, you will be able to indicate how much time you are interested in devoting and/or how much money you are willing to commit. Based on that information, the program coordinator will match you with an appropriate teacher.
